If you know where the Ayurvedic College is near Teen Rasta, then you probably know Shubh Laxmi Complex. We are at shop number 8. It’s a bit of a busy area around Ajwa Road, especially with the Prince Palace nearby. We started Chhalka Gifts & Arts because we liked the idea of having a place where people could find both gifts and some art pieces. It’s not a huge space, but we pack a lot into it. Sometimes the boxes are still being unpacked when customers walk in. We don't mind the mess too much. It feels more like a real workshop that way. People coming from Panigate often stop in. We have a lot of different things on the walls and the shelves. It’s mostly just us here day in and day out. We try to keep things interesting so it's not the same old stuff every time you visit. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home, but inside it’s usually quiet enough to look around. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just open up in the morning and stay until we’re done for the evening. It’s a decent spot to be in. The neighbors are good, and the students from the college drop by quite a bit to see what's new. It keeps us on our toes and gives us someone to talk to. Just a local shop trying to make it work on Ajwa Road for the long haul.
