Artys Paper Heritage

Our setup is at Sharanya, which is part of the 4 Earth Bungalows near Akshar Chowk. We are located on Old Padra Road. It’s a bit different from a typical shop because we are tucked away in a more residential-feeling spot. At Artys Paper Heritage, we spend our time working with all sorts of paper. We have stacks of handmade sheets, cardstock, and different textures piled up in our workspace. It’s a bit messy because of all the cutting and gluing, but we know where everything is. We don't really have a big sign out front, so most people who come here already know us or heard about us from a friend. We enjoy the process of seeing how the paper looks once it’s been worked on. It’s not about using big machines; it’s mostly just using our hands and some basic tools. Sometimes the weather affects how the paper dries, so we have to keep an eye on the humidity. It’s a slow kind of work, but we aren't in a massive rush. We just want to make things that look decent. My sister helps with the orders when things get busy. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we sort through the different colors and weights. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the main traffic of the chowk. We just keep doing what we do with the paper.
