Arti

My place is just called Arti, and it is located at 19, Gandhigram Society. We are on Bahuchraji Road in the Karelibaug area of Vadodara. It is right across from Jivan Bharti School. Since it's inside a residential society, it's very quiet and private. I run this out of a part of my house that I converted into a workspace. It’s mostly just me working here, though sometimes I have a helper if there’s a wedding or a big group. I’ve lived in Karelibaug for a long time, so most of my clients are friends and neighbors I've known for years. I do hair, skin treatments, and henna when it's the season for it. There isn't a big reception desk, just a chair for you to sit while I work. The walls are painted a simple color and I have some pictures of styles pinned up. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere because there aren't many people moving in and out at once. You can hear the school bells across the street during the day. Parking is usually easy since it's a society road. I don't use any high-tech gadgets, just traditional ways of doing things that I learned a long time ago. It’s a small, humble setup but it keeps me occupied and lets me meet the people in my community. It isn't anything fancy, just a room with some supplies where I can do my work.
