Aptech Computer Education

We’ve got this Aptech center set up at B/82 in Jay Jalaram Nagar. If you know the Petrofils bus stand on Refinery Road, we are right across from that in the Gorwa area of Baroda. It’s a decent sized space where we have rows of computers for students. People come here to learn things like coding, hardware, or how to use office software. I’ve been working here for a while and I see all sorts of people, from young kids to older folks trying to figure out the internet. The lab can get a bit hot when all the monitors are running, even with the fans going. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living in this area. We aren't a huge university or anything, just a local spot for computer training. We have schedules written on a whiteboard and we try to stick to them. Most of the students are from nearby neighborhoods in Baroda. They come in after college or work. I spend a lot of time fixing mouse cables or helping someone find a file they lost. It’s a practical place. We don't have fancy carpets or designer furniture, just sturdy desks and chairs. It’s about getting people in front of a screen so they can learn what they need for a job. Refinery Road is always busy, so there’s always noise from the traffic. It stays lively.
