Ambica Medicine

We are located in the Kamtekar Building, right at Shop No-1 on Rajmahal Road. It’s a very busy spot because we’re right on the Khandera Market Char Rasta Corner. If you know the area, you know how much activity there is all day long. Being on the corner makes it easy for people to spot us, but the noise from the traffic is constant. We’ve been in this shop for a long time. It’s a traditional medicine shop feel. We have shelves lining the walls from floor to ceiling, filled with all sorts of things. The space is a bit tight because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the customers who come by. People from the market often stop in while they’re doing their other shopping. It’s a lot of face-to-face interaction here, which we enjoy. The building is older, so it has some character, even if the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We don’t bother with fancy displays or marketing stuff. We just put the medicine on the shelves and help people find what they need. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three or four people are asking for things at once, but we manage. It’s a local shop through and through. We know many of the faces that walk through the door. Working on Rajmahal Road means there's never a dull moment, and we’ve become a fixed part of the Char Rasta corner over the years.
