Adita Birla Retail Ltd

Our branch is over at B-5 in the Sheetal Kunj Society in Manjalpur, Vadodara. If you know Gujarat, you know that Manjalpur is a pretty busy residential and commercial mix. Being part of Adita Birla Retail Ltd means we are always dealing with inventory and customers coming in and out. The office and store space here is usually filled with boxes and people checking lists. It is not the kind of place that looks perfect; there are usually stacks of things waiting to be moved and the floor gets scuffed up from all the foot traffic. We spend a lot of time on our feet, making sure the shelves look okay and that the stock is actually what the system says it is. It is a lot of counting and re-counting, especially when a new shipment arrives. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we talk about local news or the weather while we work. It gets quite busy on the weekends when everyone is out doing their shopping. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall; we just want to make sure the customers find what they need and the shop stays running without too many problems. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, and the delivery trucks block the lane for a bit, but we just deal with it. It’s just a normal day-to-day retail job for all of us here. We just try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible.
