Abhinandan Granite

I've been running Abhinandan Granite for some time now. We're over in Vadsar, specifically at 78/2/27. If you're coming from the Vadsar Bridge, we are quite close to that. It’s right opposite Gayatri Society. Working with granite is a heavy job. Every day involves moving these massive slabs of stone around. It’s not a quiet business. There is always the sound of cutting or polishing going on in the background. My clothes are almost always covered in a fine layer of stone dust by the end of the day. The shop is more of a yard where we keep the stock. It’s practical, not like those big showrooms you see in the city center. We deal with different types of stone, mostly for people finishing their houses or kitchens. The weather out here in Vadsar can get pretty warm, and the stone stays cool to the touch, which is nice. Sometimes the trucks bringing in new slabs block the narrow road for a bit, and we have to hurry to unload everything. It’s a lot of physical labor. I usually sit on a wooden stool near the entrance when I'm not busy. We don’t have fancy brochures. People just come in, look at what we have, and we talk about what they need for their floors or counters. It’s a steady way to make a living. The sun reflects off the stone in the afternoons and makes the yard quite bright. We just stay busy with the stone and the dust.
