We've been here in Tayaloo for a while now. Most people know where Saffron City School is if they live around Dehra or Pragpur. It’s a quiet spot in Kangra, away from the main highway noise, which is nice for the kids. The school building isn't huge, but it gets the job done. Every morning the buses roll in, and you can hear the chatter from the gate. We spend a lot of time just keeping things moving, checking the classrooms, and making sure the water coolers are filled. It’s mostly local families here. Some of the teachers have been with us since we started, and they know almost every parent by name. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we try to keep the fans running and the windows open. Winters in Kangra are different, though, everyone comes wrapped up in heavy sweaters. We have a playground out back that needs a bit of grass cutting every few weeks, especially after the rains. It’s just a regular place where children come to learn their lessons. Sometimes things are a bit chaotic when the bell rings, but that’s just how it is with a bunch of students in one place. We don't have fancy marble floors or anything, but it's clean and the roof doesn't leak. If you walk past the school towards the main road, you'll see how many people from the village depend on this place. It's a steady routine day in and day out.
