Hotel

This hotel is run by the family of Jagannath T Bangera. We are located at Sri Padmaja Nivas in a spot called Mata Thota, which is in the Yermal Bada area of the Udupi district. If you know the Karnataka coast, you already know how things are around here. It is a very local setup, not one of those big chain hotels you see along the main highways. The building is actually part of our family property. We have lived here and managed everything for a long time now. The address can be a bit tricky for outsiders to find because the lanes in Yermal Bada are narrow and wind around quite a bit. There are lots of coconut trees and green spaces around the house which makes it feel nice. We usually have people staying who are visiting family nearby or coming for temple work in Udupi. It is a quiet life for the most part, except for when there is a festival happening in the village. We do not have a big staff here. It is mostly just the family and a couple of local helpers who have been with us for years. We keep the rooms as clean as we can and make sure there is water and electricity. It is just a simple place to stay while you are passing through this part of the state. The sea is not too far away, so you can sometimes smell the salt in the air when the wind blows from the west.
