Hotel Namana

Hotel Namana is located inside Rukmini Arcade, which is very close to the main city bus stand in Udupi. If you know Udupi at all, you know how busy that bus stand area gets. There are buses coming from everywhere and the noise is constant during the whole day. We set up here because people always need a place to stay when they get off a long bus ride at odd hours. The address is 576101. It is a very practical location for a traveler. You do not have to walk very far with your heavy luggage. We are not a big resort or anything like that. It is just a building with some rooms. Most people who stay with us are just passing through for a day or two. Maybe they are visiting the Krishna temple or have some quick work in the local market. The rooms are simple. We do not have fancy decorations on the walls or expensive art. We just try to make sure the ceiling fans work and the sheets are changed regularly. Being right near the city bus stand means there is always food nearby and plenty of rickshaws if you need to go somewhere else. It is a bit of an old-school way of running a hotel business. No big websites or fancy marketing stuff here. Just a sign outside and a desk where you can check in. It gets a bit loud.
