Hotel Kamath

Hotel Kamath is located in Kattappadi, which is part of the Udupi area. It is right on the side of the road so it is easy to spot if you are driving through. We have been here for a while and we mostly serve the local community and people traveling between towns. In this part of Udupi, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Our place reflects that. We don't have any modern gadgets or fancy touchscreen menus. You just come in, sit down, and we tell you what is available for the day. Usually, it is standard South Indian fare that people around here like to eat. We keep the kitchen running from morning until the evening. The interior is very plain with basic seating. We don't spend money on expensive decor because we think the food should be the main reason people come in. It can get a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we do our best to keep the dining area clean. It is a family-run kind of feel here. We know many of our customers by their names. If you are looking for a place that feels like a regular local canteen, that is what we are. We don't make big promises. We just provide a place to sit and have a meal while you are on your way somewhere else. We find that people appreciate the quiet atmosphere we have inside the building.
