Novelty Bags

Shop 29 in Bapu Bazar is where you’ll find us. If you’ve ever been to Udaipur, you know how packed and colorful the markets are. Novelty Bags is right in the middle of all that action. Our shop is small, and every inch of wall space is covered with bags of all shapes and sizes. We have backpacks, purses, and travel bags stacked right up to the ceiling. It can get a bit overwhelming for some people, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend most of our day standing on our feet, talking to locals and tourists who wander in. The air in the bazar is always full of different smells and the sound of people bargaining. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics or have a big website. It’s just us showing what we have on the shelves. Sometimes we sit on small stools near the entrance when it’s quiet, just watching the people go by. The floor is a bit worn out from all the walking, and the lights are a bit dim in the back corners. We’ve been in Bapu Bazar for a long time, so we know all the neighboring shopkeepers. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, face to face. We just sell bags and try to keep the shop organized enough so people can walk through. It's a simple life here in the market, but we like the pace of it and seeing different faces every single day.
