Bags Corner

We are located right near Hathipole Gate. It’s a landmark that everyone knows, so finding us isn't too hard. Being in Hathipole means there is always something going on outside the door. We have a variety of bags, mostly things people can use every day. The shop is a bit small, so we have to use every inch of space, even the walls. We’ve got bags hanging all over the place. It’s a bit of a jumble sometimes, but it works for us. We spend our days waiting on customers and keeping an eye on the street. The gate brings in a lot of people, so we see all sorts of faces. We don't have any corporate training or anything like that. We just learned by doing it. My brother and I take turns running the place. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, so we are always cleaning the glass. It’s a simple setup. We don't use any fancy sales talk. If someone likes a bag, they buy it. We just try to keep enough stock so there is something for everyone. The evenings are the best time here when it cools down a little. We usually shut the doors once the sun is fully gone. That’s just our daily life at the corner. We get the shop ready every morning around nine.
