You can find us over at House Number 2 on Link Road in Sharda Nagar. We are quite close to the Gora Ganesh Ji Temple, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the place in Udaipur Ho. The office is a bit of a mix between a workshop and a design studio. There’s usually dust on the windows from the road and a lot of chatter coming from the back. We do both interiors and architecture here, so one minute we are looking at structural beams and the next we are picking out tiles. It’s a bit of a small operation, but we prefer it that way because we can keep an eye on everything ourselves. The Link Road can get pretty busy, so there’s always something happening outside. Inside, we just keep our heads down and work on whatever project is on the desk. We’ve lived in Rajasthan a long time, so we understand the way people here like to build. There isn't any big reception area or anything like that, just a couple of desks and some chairs for whoever drops in. We try to keep things simple and honest. Most of our day is spent sketching or visiting sites around Sharda Nagar to see how the laborers are doing. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the windows open to catch any breeze from the temple side. Our team is small, mostly just a few people who have been doing this for years.
