Our place is located at No. 8 on Thirupugal Street in Shanthi Nagar, Valasaravakam. Red Star Plastick is a relatively small operation compared to some of the giants, but we stay busy. The street can be a bit narrow, so getting trucks in and out takes some skill. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years. Most of the people working here live nearby in Valasaravakam, so we all know each other pretty well. The shop floor is where most of the action is. It’s filled with the smell of plastic and the sound of the machines running. We don't have a fancy reception area or a team of people in suits. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just find someone in work clothes who can help you. We handle all sorts of plastic orders, some big and some small. There’s always a bit of clutter around—stacks of crates, bags of raw material, and tools that someone forgot to put away. It’s a real working environment, not a showroom. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to spend the whole night fixing them, which is never fun, but it’s part of the trade. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out on time. It’s a simple business run by people who know their way around a factory. We like being part of the Shanthi Nagar community and seeing the familiar faces of neighbors every morning when we open up.
