Our place is over at Plot No 20 in Chelliamman Nagar, right in the heart of the Ambattur Industrial Estate. It’s a busy area with trucks moving in and out all the time. We do various kinds of packaging work here on Barathi Street. It’s mostly about getting boxes and materials ready for other businesses. The floor stays pretty loud with the machines running, but that’s just how an industrial unit is. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit now. Most of the staff live nearby, so they walk or bike in every morning. We don’t have a flashy office or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get the orders done. Sometimes the materials arrive late and we have to stay a bit longer to catch up. It’s not always perfect, but we manage. You’ll find us easily if you know the Athipet side of things. There’s a lot of dust and noise around, but inside we’re focused on the stacks of cardboard and plastic. We deal with local suppliers mostly. It’s a lot of manual labor along with the machines. We try to keep things organized, though during a big run, the floor gets a bit cluttered. That’s just life in a factory. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It keeps us going through the afternoon shift. We just keep our heads down and do the job. It gets repetitive some days, but we like having the steady work to do.
