Nalanda Public School

Nalanda Public School is located out in Sirupuluvapatti, which is part of the Tirupur area. If you live around here, you probably pass by our gates often. The school is basically a place where we get together every day to make sure the students learn what they need to for their exams. Tirupur is a busy town, and our spot in Sirupuluvapatti is no different. We have several classrooms and a small space for the kids to run around when they are not sitting at their desks. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the weather is hot and everyone just wants to stay in the shade. The teachers stay busy with their lesson plans and marking papers, and you can usually hear the sound of voices coming from the windows during the day. We don't have anything too fancy or modern. It is just a standard school set-up with old-fashioned blackboards and desks that have been used by many students over the years. We keep a simple schedule that starts early in the morning. Most of the families who send their children here are local workers and shop owners from the neighborhood. It feels like a small community inside these walls. Every evening, once the last bell rings and the students head home toward the main part of Tirupur, the building gets very still. We just tidy up and get ready to do it all again the next morning.
