New Era English Medium School

Our school, New Era English Medium School, sits at No 5 Annapoorna Layout. It’s right on the Maragatham Hospital Road in the Gandhinagar area of Tirupur. Being so close to the hospital means the road is usually busy, so we tell the children to be extra careful when they are crossing. The building itself is a modest one. We have several rooms that we’ve converted into classrooms over the years. It’s not a huge campus with sprawling lawns, but we have a small yard where the kids gather for assembly. The noise from the town is always there in the background, but the kids don't seem to mind it much. We have a small group of teachers who really put in the hours. Most of them live nearby and walk to work. The classrooms have big windows to let in the breeze, which is nice in the afternoons. We use English as our main language for teaching because that's what the parents in Tirupur are looking for these days. The desks are getting a bit old, and you might see some scratches on them, but they still do the job. We don’t have a big office or a fancy waiting room. If parents need to talk to us, they just come to the front door and wait for a minute. It’s a very straightforward and practical place to spend the day. Most of us just want the kids to learn well and stay out of trouble while they are here.
