Kmc Public School

Kmc Public School is right there on Kanakkampalayam Main Road in Perumanallur. If you pass by in the mornings, you’ll see the yellow buses pulling in and parents on scooters dropping off their kids. It gets pretty loud around 8:30 when everyone is rushing to get inside before the bell rings. We’ve been here for a while now, and the building has seen a lot of students come and go. The classrooms are pretty standard with benches and chalkboards that we have to clean every evening. There is a playground out back where the grass gets a bit dry during the summer months, but the kids don't seem to mind when they’re running around. Perumanallur has changed a lot, with more traffic on the road these days, so we have to be careful when the kids are leaving in the afternoon. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know the families around here. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows to let the breeze in. It’s a basic setup, really. We spend our days making sure the kids stay on track with their lessons and don’t get into too much trouble during the lunch hour. You might hear the whistle from the PT teacher all the way down the street. It’s just a regular part of life here on the main road. We try to keep things simple and just get through the school year one day at a time.
