Shri Makesh Vidyalaya Matric Hr Sec School

Our school, Shri Makesh Vidyalaya, is located in the Nehru Nagar area of Samudipuram South in Tirupur. Since this is a big industrial town, everything around us is always moving fast. The school is tucked away in the neighborhood, but it’s still quite a lively place once the morning bell rings. We handle students from the primary level all the way up to higher secondary. The buildings are a mix of older and newer sections as we've had to add more space over the years to fit everyone. Tirupur can be very busy and quite dusty because of all the factories, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the classrooms and the floors. The teachers here are used to the fast pace of the city and the needs of the students. We don't have a lot of extra space for big parks or fancy gardens, but we use what we have for the students' daily activities and sports. The classrooms are filled with the sound of kids reciting their lessons or the scratch of chalk on the boards. Most of the families around here work in the textile industry, so they are very hard-working people. We try to match that energy in how we run the school every day. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the exams and making sure the students know their subjects well before they leave. It’s just a regular part of the Nehru Nagar community.
