Annai Hajira Womens College

Annai Hajira Womens College is situated on Netaji Road in the Melapalayam area of Tirunelveli. It’s a very local spot, right in the heart of a community that’s been here for generations. Because it’s a college for women, there’s a certain sense of routine and safety that we maintain every day. You’ll see the students arriving in groups, mostly walking from the nearby streets or coming in by local buses. The area around Netaji Road is quite busy with small shops and houses, so there’s always people around. The college building itself is integrated into the neighborhood. Inside, it’s mostly quiet, except for the sound of lectures or students chatting in the courtyard during their breaks. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. The rooms have the basic desks and boards, and we keep things as tidy as we can. The staff here is mostly local, too, so everyone knows everyone else's family. When the rains come, the streets can get a bit messy, but the college stays open, and everyone just gets on with their work as usual.
