Padmini Engineers

Padmini Engineers is over at 2-A/9 on Tank Bund Road in the Ottery area. It’s a neighborhood that stays pretty active throughout the day. The building we are in is simple, nothing that stands out from the road, but we have a good sign so people can find us. Tank Bund Road has its own character, and we’ve been part of it for a good bit now. Inside, it’s a typical engineering setup. We have our lathes, our drills, and our measuring tools spread out where they are handy. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings or oil spots on it. We don't really have a fancy waiting area for visitors. Most people who come here are workers or small business owners themselves, so they don’t mind the rough edges. We start the day by opening up the shutters and letting some air in. Ottery can get quite humid, so we keep a few big fans going all the time. Our paperwork is kept in some old folders on a desk that has seen a lot of use. We don't use much technology besides what we need for the actual engineering work. It’s a place where we just get on with the job. No one is trying to impress anyone with big words or shiny furniture. We just do the work we know how to do, day in and day out.
