Sri Madhu Engineering Works

We’ve been here at 4A/25 on D D Road for quite some time now. If you are from around Agraharam, you probably know the spot since we are just a short walk from Geethalaya Theatre. Sri Madhu Engineering Works isn't a big flashy place. It’s just a workshop where we get things done. Most days, you’ll hear the lathes running and the sound of metal being worked on from early morning. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. The street outside can get a bit congested when movies let out at the theatre, but we’re used to it. We handle a lot of small repair jobs and custom metal work for people in the neighborhood. Usually, someone is always here if you drop by, even if we look a bit covered in grease or dust. It’s just the nature of the job. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. People usually just stand around and chat while we look at whatever they brought in. The building is older, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but the machines inside work just fine. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by. It’s just a regular local shop where we try to do decent work for the folks who stop in. Sometimes we take a break for tea when the afternoon heat gets too much.
