Jayaram Engineering Works

Our workshop is located at E 15 and 16 in the Developed Plot Estate over in Thuvakkudi. We are quite close to the NIIT campus, which is a big landmark around here. Jayaram Engineering Works is a busy place, usually filled with the sound of machines running and metal being worked. It is an industrial area, so nobody minds the noise we make during the day. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and there is always a smell of oil and grease in the air. We have some heavy equipment in the shop that takes up most of the space. It is not a place for someone who wants to keep their clothes clean. We spend a lot of time measuring things and checking the machines to make sure everything is running right. Some days are long, especially when we have a lot of parts to finish for a deadline. We do not have a fancy waiting room or air conditioning. Most of the time, we are just standing by the lathes or the welding benches. It is a practical environment where the focus is on the metalwork itself. We have been in Thuvakkudi for a good while, and we know many of the other owners in the estate. It is a tight-knit community of workers. We just do our jobs and try to keep the machines in good shape for the next day.
