People often ask why we have Chennai in our name while we sit right here in Melapudhur. It’s just how it started. Our building at Door No:10 on Arasamara Street is a busy place from early morning. You’ll see the staff arriving around 8:30 AM, usually complaining about the traffic near the main junction. Trichy gets quite hot by noon, so we keep the fans going at full speed in the rooms. The halls are filled with the sound of chairs moving and people talking. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We have wooden desks that have been here for years and shelves stacked with old registers and teaching materials. Arasamara Street itself is pretty narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache for everyone who works here. By midday, things usually settle into a quiet rhythm. We mostly focus on getting through the daily lessons and making sure the paperwork for the trainees is sorted. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the stall down the road. It’s just a normal workplace where teaching is the main job. We don’t have big signs or flashy lights outside. Just a simple board at the entrance. Most people in the neighborhood know us by now. We spend a lot of time organizing notes and helping people understand the basics of the curriculum. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. When the sun goes down, we lock up the heavy gates and head home like everyone else in Melapudhur.
