Multi Disciplinary Zonal Training Institute

This institute is part of the Southern Railway and we are located right at Trichy Junction. If you’ve ever been to the station, you know it’s a place that never really sleeps. There is always the sound of whistles and engines in the background. We handle the training for railway staff, which means a lot of different people coming through our doors from all over the zone. The building has that classic railway look—sturdy and built to last, nothing like the modern glass offices you see in the big cities. Inside, it’s mostly classrooms and offices where we plan out the schedules. It is a very hands-on place. We don't spend time on fancy speeches or polished presentations. It’s more about making sure the staff knows what they need to do for the trains to run safely. There’s a lot of paperwork, as you can imagine with the railways. We have a lot of tea and talk about the latest updates in the system. The weather in Trichy is usually quite hot, so the fans are always spinning. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the different departments, but we’ve been here long enough to know where everything is. It’s just a honest, hardworking environment where the main goal is getting the training done right so everyone can get home safe.
