Agachevi Transitional School For Hearing Impairment

We have been here at No.10 Jeya Nagar for a while now. It's a quiet spot in K Sathanur. People in Trichy know where 2nd Street is, right near the main road but tucked away enough to be calm. Agachevi Transitional School For Hearing Impairment started because there was a need for a place like this in our neighborhood. We work with kids who can't hear well. It isn't always easy but we show up every day. Some days are loud, some are very quiet, depending on what we are doing. We have the usual desks and chairs you find in any school, maybe a bit older now. The building is just a regular house turned into a school. We teach the basics and try to help the students get ready for what comes next. Sometimes parents come by to talk about how their kids are doing. We sit in the small office and just chat for a while. It’s not a big fancy place with glass walls or anything. Just concrete and paint that could probably use a fresh coat soon. Trichy weather gets very hot, so we have fans going all the time. We don't have a big marketing team. Most people find us by asking around the neighborhood or seeing the sign on 2nd Street. We just do the work and hope it helps the families. It's practical stuff. We don't use big words to describe it. We just open the doors in the morning and get started with the lessons. If you're looking for us, we are just past the corner house.
