We set up shop in the Meera Complex on South New Street a few years back. It’s a busy building with a lot of different people coming and going. Our space is unit 79/8. We do impex work, which basically means we spend our time making sure things get bought and sold across borders. It sounds more exciting than it actually is because mostly it’s just checking lists and making phone calls. We aren’t a huge outfit, so everyone here does a bit of everything. One minute you might be filing some tax papers and the next you are helping load a small van. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably see us with stacks of paper on our desks and maybe a half-eaten lunch. It’s a real office for real work. South New Street can be a nightmare for parking, so we usually tell people to just take an auto or walk from the main road. We’ve got a good rhythm going now after all this time. We don't bother with big ads or trying to sound like some multinational company. We are just Seafront Impex. We know our regulars and we handle the stuff that comes our way. It’s a steady life. Sometimes things go wrong with the shipping lines, but we just roll with it and try to fix it. That's just how the business is. We like the local vibe here.
