You can find us on the Main Road in Pichankottagam. We are right there at 1/139. Being in Thiruvarur district, we are surrounded by fields. Pasumai Bharath is basically just a group of us farmers who thought we should try doing things as one big unit. It’s better than trying to fight for every little thing alone. We deal with Vadapathithiruthuraipoondi area mostly. The office is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a lot of papers. We spend most of our time out on the land though. It gets dusty and loud when the tractors are moving. We talk about the weather more than anything else. If it rains, everyone is happy. If not, we worry. We don't have fancy titles or uniforms. We just wear what we always wear to the fields. Sometimes we have meetings to figure out what seeds to buy or who has a truck available. It's a lot of logistics that we had to learn on the fly. We make mistakes sometimes, but we figure it out. It’s a local thing, run by local people who have lived here all their lives. We know every corner of these roads. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get a fair shake for the work we put in. It’s a simple life, but it’s what we know.
