Kannangudi Women Producer Company Limited

We stay at 815/3 in Kannangudi. It is a quiet place most of the time. This company is run by women from around the village. We didn't really know much about running a business at first, but we learned as we went along. We gather here to talk about the produce and what needs to be sold. It is not a fancy office, just a room where we keep our records and meet. Kannangudi is our home, so it made sense to set up right here. We deal with whatever the season brings us. Sometimes it is grain, sometimes other things. We don't have big machines or anything. A lot of it is just manual work and talking to each other. We try to help the other women in the area get a fair price for what they grow. It is hard work, especially when the weather isn't helping. We spend a lot of time on our feet. Sometimes the kids come by after school while we are finishing up. It’s a community thing more than just a business. We don't use big words or have fancy websites. We just work at 815/3 and try to make things better for everyone involved. It’s not always easy, but we have each other. People know where to find us if they need to talk about their crops. We’ve been here for a while and plan to stay.
