Uday Suites

Uday Suites is situated at TC - 34/757/3 on Watts Lane, right by the beach in Sankmukham. Being near the water is probably the best part about working here. You can usually catch a bit of a breeze if you stand in the right spot. We are located in the Beach P.O. area. It’s a quiet enough lane, though it gets busier when people are heading down to the shore. The building itself is set up to house people visiting the area. I spend most of my time checking on the rooms or talking to guests who are coming and going. It’s not one of those massive, cold hotels. It feels more like a local place. Sometimes the salt from the ocean air makes the metal fixtures need a bit more cleaning than usual. We have a small staff, and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it's handling a check-in or fixing a light bulb. Sankmukham is a nice part of town, and we are glad to be tucked away on Watts Lane rather than on a main noisy road. People come here when they want to be near the beach without all the fuss. We don't have a lot of corporate rules; we just try to make sure things are clean and ready for whoever shows up. It’s a straightforward business, really. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while and know the local rhythms.
