Our business is run out of Yamuna Nivas in Amachal, which is a small place near Kattakada in Thiruvananthapuram. It’s a very green area, and we are surrounded by a lot of trees and plants, which makes sense for what we do with herbs and agro products. The air is usually fresh here, except when the monsoon rains come down hard. We use the space at Yamuna Nivas to store our materials and do the sorting. It’s more of a home-based feel than a corporate office. We spend a lot of time outside or in the shed handling the raw goods. The postal code is 695572 if anyone is trying to find us on a map. Our work is mostly about the seasons and what the land gives us. We keep our tools clean and our storage areas dry. It’s a lot of physical labor, but we like being close to nature. Every morning starts with checking the stock and seeing what needs to be packed for the next delivery. We just try to do an honest job and keep the business running smoothly from our little corner of Kerala. It’s a simple existence, but the agricultural life keeps us very busy all year.
