Agri Pearls Farmer Producer Company Limited is over in Thaikkattussery, which is a part of Mukundapuram in the Thrissur district. We use Kadavarath House as our main base of operations. It’s a typical Kerala house setting where things are a bit informal. Most of the farmers around here grow various things, and we all came together to see if we could make the selling part a little easier for everyone. Thrissur is known for its culture and festivals, but in our little corner, it’s mostly about the soil and the crops. We aren't some big business with a high-rise office; we just sit on the porch or in the main room of the house and discuss what needs to be done for the next season. It gets quite noisy when everyone shows up at once, especially when we’re trying to sort out the logistics of moving produce. The weather in Mukundapuram can be a bit unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time worrying about the rain or the sun being too harsh. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that on the wall. We just want to make sure the farmers get a fair shake for the hard work they put in every single day. It’s a lot of paperwork and running around, but since we are all in it together, it doesn't feel so bad.
