Kunnathukal Mythri Sks Farmers Producer Company Limited

You can find us over at the Vfpck Swashryaya Karshaka Samathy in Chavdi. It is right in the Kunnathukal P.O. area. Kunnathukal Mythri SKS Farmers Producer Company Limited is a bit of a long name for what we are. Basically, we are a group of neighbors and local farmers who realized we could do more if we worked as one group instead of everyone doing their own thing. The Chavdi spot is where we gather to talk about what we are growing and what problems we are having with the pests or the soil this season. It is a very local setup. We don't have corporate suits or big presentations. Most of our meetings happen with people wearing their work clothes, sitting around and just being honest about how the harvest is going. We focus on the things that matter to us, like getting a better price for our vegetables and making sure we have enough supplies for the next planting. It isn't always smooth sailing. Sometimes we disagree on how to handle things, but since we are all in the same boat, we eventually find a way. We have been part of this community for years, so everyone knows everyone. It’s not about being the biggest company in Kerala. It’s just about making sure our small farms can keep going for another generation. That’s why we do this every single day.
