Godjz Events & Entertainment is located at Sreesailam in the Mullur area, right near the Beach Road in Kovalam. It is a beautiful part of Thiruvananthapuram to work in, though it gets very humid and the air is always salty because we are so close to the ocean. We have been working in the events and entertainment field from this spot for quite a few years now. Our office is more like a large workshop where we keep all our sound systems, lights, and miles of cables. Being so near the beach means we end up doing a lot of outdoor setups, which can be quite tricky when the wind picks up or the sand starts getting into the sensitive equipment. We spend a lot of our time cleaning the gear and testing the speakers to make sure they still work. It is not a high-end corporate office where people wear suits and ties. We usually just show up in t-shirts and jeans because the work we do is very physical. We do not have a big marketing pitch or a fancy website. People usually find out about us because they saw us working at another event somewhere nearby. Sometimes we have to drive the vans quite far for a gig, and they are always packed right up to the roof with heavy gear. It is a lot of hard work, especially loading and unloading late at night.
