Devi Flower World

You can find us right in Sasthamangalam, tucked away in C Lane. Being near the HDFC bank makes it easy for people to spot us. We spend most of our mornings unloading crates and trimming stems. It’s a messy job sometimes with all the water and leaves on the floor, but the shop smells nice. We’ve been at this spot, C-5, for a good amount of time. People come in for all sorts of reasons, some just wanting a single rose and others needing bundles for a function. We aren't a high-end boutique or anything like that. We just sell flowers. Every morning starts with the same routine of checking what’s arrived and getting things into vases. Kurups Lane is usually quiet until the bank opens, and then it picks up. We mostly just focus on keeping the flowers looking decent and helping whoever walks through the door. Sometimes we run out of things faster than expected, especially on festival days. It's a small space, so we have to stay organized, or everything gets cluttered fast. We like being part of this little corner of the neighborhood. It’s not a complicated business, just long hours and a lot of standing. We do our best to make sure the flowers are fresh when they leave the shop and people seem to appreciate that.
