Mountain Home School & Junior College

We are Mountain Home School & Junior College. Our mail goes to Post Box No 4 in Coonoor. Living and working here in the hills is different than the city. Everything moves a bit slower. Coonoor is known for its tea gardens and we are right in the middle of all that green. The school itself is tucked away. It feels like a quiet corner of the world. We have the junior college here too so there are older students walking around. The weather changes fast. One minute it is sunny and the next it is pouring rain. We always keep umbrellas by the door. Post Box No 4 is our main contact point. The building has been here for years and you can tell by the way the stone looks. We don't have fancy modern gadgets in every room. Just the basics that we need. Sometimes we see monkeys on the roof. They can be a bit of a nuisance if they find food. We just shoo them away. The staff mostly lives nearby. We know the local shops and the people in town. Mountain Home School & Junior College is a steady place. We don't change much. We just keep the classrooms ready and the grounds tidy. It’s a lot of work to maintain a place in this climate. The damp gets into everything. But we like the fresh air and the quiet.
