Veterinary College & Research Institute

We've been here in Orathanadu for a while now. Most people around Thanjavur know where we are. It’s a busy place with animals coming in and students running around the halls. You see a lot of different things here every day. Sometimes it's quiet in the research area, but the clinics get pretty loud. The address is 614625 for the mail, and we're right in the thick of things in this part of Tamil Nadu. It’s not a fancy office job. There's mud on shoes and a lot of paperwork. The Veterinary College & Research Institute isn't just a building; it's where we spend most of our daylight hours. We deal with the local livestock and the pets from the neighborhood. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the fans are always humming. We try to keep things organized, but with so many students, it’s a lot to manage. People come from all over the district. We’ve got the labs and the classrooms, and there is always someone looking for a specific professor or a lost file. It’s just how it is here. We aren't trying to be anything other than a place for learning about animals. Life in Orathanadu moves at its own pace, and we just follow along with it. We've got the space we need, and the people here are just regular folks doing their jobs. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, but it’s home for us. We see a lot of cows and dogs, and the occasional bird that someone brings in. It's never a dull moment.
