Point Calimere International School

Point Calimere International School is out at No 41, Melakadu in the Vedaranyam area. We are located in Kuruvapulam, which is part of Nagapattinam. It’s a bit of a drive to get here if you’re coming from the bigger towns. The school building is pretty modern compared to some other places around here. We have a decent amount of space for the classrooms and the kids to move around. Even though we have "International" in the name, we are still very much a local school for the families in this part of the state. You can see the fields nearby, so it’s a bit more open than schools in the city. We have some play equipment outside that the younger ones really like. The staff here is a mix of people from the local area and some from further away. It’s a quiet place for the most part, except during the breaks. We don’t really do big advertising campaigns. Most of our students come because their parents heard good things from someone they know. The building is kept fairly clean, though the sea air can be a bit tough on the paint over time. We just follow the daily lessons and try to keep things moving along. It’s a practical place for kids to get an education without having to travel too far from home. We just do our work and look after the students every day as they come in.
