We've been here at 12/9 in the New Housing Unit for a while now. Thanjavur is a busy place, but this little corner stays pretty steady. It’s mostly just us handling the daily paperwork and seeing who walks through the door. The building isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where the lights stay on and the fans keep spinning. Sometimes the heat gets a bit much, but that is just how it is in Tamil Nadu. We don't really do the big speeches or anything like that. People come by when they need something sorted out, and we try to get it done without too much fuss. It's funny how you get used to the sounds of the neighborhood after a few years. You start to recognize the scooters passing by at the same time every morning. We keep our files organized, or at least we try to, and there is always a bit of dust because of the road. It is just a practical place to work. There isn't much more to say than that. We are just here, part of the 613005 area, doing what needs doing. We keep things moving, one day at a time, and that seems to work out okay for everyone involved.
