Our office is up on the 5th floor of Sai Siddhi Varsha Tower, which is in Sheetal Nagar, right near the Mira Road station. Being on the 5th floor gives us a bit of a view of the chaos down on Station Road, which is always packed with people and rickshaws. We work out of Flat 502, so it feels more like a home than a corporate building. We spend our days managing construction projects from this flat, surrounded by files and site photos. It’s a small team, and we usually have the radio playing in the background while we work on our laptops. The commute to the sites can be a pain because of the traffic around Mira Road, so we try to do as much as we can from the office before heading out. We don’t have a reception desk or a sign in the lobby; people just know we are here. We deal with a lot of local contractors and try to make sure everything stays on schedule, though it rarely does. There is always someone coming over to sign a paper or pick up a cheque. We keep it simple and don't bother with anything that isn't necessary for the job. It is just about getting the buildings finished and making sure the costs don't spiral out of control. It’s a busy life, but we like being right here in the heart of the action.
