Pearl Poly Pack

Our factory is at Plot No. 105 in the Diamond Industrial Estate. We are right across from Sheetal No. 6 in the Navghar area of Vasai East. It is a busy industrial zone, so there are always trucks coming and going. At Pearl Poly Pack, we make various types of packaging materials. The machines are pretty loud, and there is usually a smell of plastic in the air, which we are used to by now. We spend a lot of time on the shop floor making sure the rolls are running right and the sizes are correct. It is physical work. We wear our old clothes because things can get a bit messy with the ink and the materials. The office part is just a small corner partitioned off so we can do the billing. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our orders come from other businesses nearby who need bags or wraps for their own products. We just try to get the orders out on time so we don't hold anyone up. Vasai East is quite a trek from the main city, but it works for us because there is space here. When the monsoon hits, the roads around here get a bit muddy, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep the machines going and fill the orders as they come in. It’s hard work, but we like it.
