You have to come out to Bhayander West to find us. We are in the Paras Darshan building, right on the third floor in flat 307. It is a bit of a walk up if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. The office is busy with small things, mostly gems and stones. Modi Patel Road is usually packed with people and rickshaws, so getting here takes a bit of patience. We spend a lot of time looking at tiny details under the lights. It is quiet work but it takes its toll on the eyes. Maharashtra gets humid, so the AC is usually humming in the background while we work at Goldi Gems Pvt Ltd. We aren't a big flashy showroom. It is just a practical space where the real work happens. Most of our day is spent checking weights and looking at the stones. We have our tea brought in from the stall downstairs. The staff here has been around for a long time, so we all know how the routine goes. Sometimes we stay late when a shipment comes in. It is just a flat that we turned into an office, so it feels a bit like home, just with more paperwork and safes. Thane is a busy place to be, but we like it here. It’s just how we do things every day. We close up around six and join the rush at the station to head home to our families in the evening heat.
