Our place is set up in Hariom Society, which is over in the Navi Mumbai area. We have been here for a bit now, running the Orra Intergold Gems operations from this corner of Maharashtra. The neighborhood is mostly families and other small businesses, so it feels quite grounded. On a typical morning, we get in and start sorting through the gold and gem work that needs doing. It gets pretty humid here, especially during the monsoon months, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We are not a massive corporate setup with glass walls and uniforms. Most of us just wear regular clothes and get on with the daily tasks of managing the stock and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes it feels like there is a lot of paperwork to move through, but that is just how this business goes. There is a small shop nearby that sells decent coffee, so we take turns going out for a break when things get a bit slow. Living and working in Navi Mumbai has its own rhythm, and we are just part of that daily flow. We handle the jewelry side of things without much fuss. It is a practical office where the focus is just on the gems and getting the orders out to where they need to go on time.
