Sr.Service Engineer

I work out of room 601 in the Fenil Co-operative Housing Society. It is located in Dhobi Ali, which is a part of Thane. The pin code is 400601. This is more of a service setup than a big retail shop. Being a service engineer means I am often out on calls, but this is where the main office is kept. The housing society is an older building, quite typical for this part of Thane. It is a bit of a climb if you aren't used to it, though there is a lift. Inside room 601, it is mostly tools and spare parts scattered around the workbenches. I have a small desk where I keep track of the paperwork and the service logs. It is not a place for customers to come and sit down; it is mostly for fixing things that are broken. The neighborhood of Dhobi Ali is quite crowded and the lanes are narrow. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long from the window. Sometimes I stay late to finish a repair when a customer is in a hurry. It is just me and maybe an assistant now and then. We don't have a fancy website or a receptionist. If the phone rings, I just answer it and see what the problem is. It is a simple life of fixing machinery and keeping things running. I've been doing this for a long time now.
