Applied Techniques And Technology

We’ve been here in Ambarnath East for quite some time now, just tucked away where the work actually happens. The name Applied Techniques And Technology sounds a bit fancy, but mostly we are just a bunch of people who like figuring out how stuff works. Our workshop isn't the cleanest place you'll ever see, but it’s where we spend most of our daylight hours. You’ll usually hear the sound of some machine running or someone clanking a wrench against something that won’t budge. We started out small and stayed that way because we like being able to see what’s going on at every desk or bench. Sometimes the heat in the afternoons gets a bit much, but we just open the shutters and keep going. People around here know where to find us if they need something fixed or put together. It’s not a corporate office with fancy chairs; we have old wooden stools and a kettle that’s seen better days. We don't spend money on big signs or shiny floors. We’d rather spend it on a tool that actually does the job. Most of our days are spent looking at drawings or just trying to get a piece of metal to fit where it’s supposed to go. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty within the first ten minutes of showing up. But that is just how it is here. We like the routine of it, starting early and leaving when the light fades.
