Room 304 in the Al Javeed building is where we run things for Shoreline Engineers. It’s located right on the Pune Road in Kausa. It’s a busy area, lots of traffic and noise, which we’ve just gotten used to over time. We handle a mix of engineering and contracting work. Some days we’re looking at structural issues, other days we’re managing a group of laborers on a renovation project. Kausa is a lively place to be based, and being on the main road makes it easy for our vehicles to head out to different parts of the region. The office is usually filled with the sound of the fan and people talking over the phone. We aren’t really into the corporate polish; our desks are cluttered with invoices, site photos, and empty tea glasses. We’ve been working in this field for a good while, so we know the local suppliers and who to call when we need something specific. It’s a lot of coordination. You have to make sure the right people are at the right place at the right time, or everything slows down. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything. We just focus on the jobs we have and try to do them as well as we can. It’s hard work, and the hours are often long, but it’s what we know how to do.
