You can find us at No. 37/1, right near the 20-20 Dhaba at the Shilphata Junction. It’s a very busy road, the Kalyan-Dombivli Road, so there are always heavy trucks and trailers passing by our gate. At Tirupathi Trailers Engineering, the main thing you’ll notice is the sound of metal hitting metal. We do a lot of welding and cutting here. The bright flashes from the torches are a common sight in our yard. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place. We don’t have an air-conditioned office or fancy chairs. Most of the time, we are out in the open or under the shed, dealing with heavy steel frames. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, and there’s always some scrap metal lying around. We spend our days fixing up trailers or building new parts. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the Shilphata Junction. We often go over to the 20-20 Dhaba for a quick bite or some tea when we have a break. People who drive big rigs know this spot well. We don't do much talking; we just get to the welding and the bolting. The workshop has been here for a while, and we just keep doing what we know. It is a noisy, greasy, and honest way to spend the day. We stay busy because there is always another trailer that needs some work done on it before it hits the road again.
