Down in Kandivali East, you can find us at C-304/4 on Maulana Azad Road. It’s a regular apartment block area, so we have to be a bit careful with the music volume sometimes so the neighbors don't get too bothered. We’ve got some mirrors on the walls and a floor that gets a lot of use every single day. People come in from all over the local area, some kids after school and some adults who just want to move around after work. It gets pretty sweaty in here during the monsoon when the air is thick, but we just keep the fans going. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. People mostly find out about us because they live nearby or their cousins told them we were here. Sometimes the shoes get left in a big pile by the door and it’s a bit of a mess, but that’s just how it is when things are busy. The classes can be a bit loud and messy, but it’s a good kind of energy. We just teach the steps we know and try to make sure everyone is actually getting the rhythm right. It’s not a high-end studio with fancy lights, just a place to dance and spend some time away from the screens. We just focus on the movement and the music.
