Dancing Well Academy

In Kandivali East, we have this academy where things are usually pretty lively. It’s not a massive building, just a decent-sized space we managed to get. We spend most of our mornings cleaning up from the night before and getting the sound system ready. The speakers have seen better days, but they still sound good enough to get everyone moving. We get all sorts of people coming in, from little kids who can't stand still to older folks who just want to move a bit. The neighborhood is quiet in the mornings but gets really packed by the evening. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one that points the way. Sometimes people get lost trying to find the entrance, but they usually find us eventually. The floor is a bit slippery when it's humid, so we tell everyone to be careful. There’s a small cupboard where we keep all our tapes and CDs, though we mostly use phones now. It’s a bit cluttered in the office area with papers and old flyers. We don't really mind the mess as long as the main floor is clear. It’s just how we run things here. There’s no big hierarchy or anything. We all just help out with the cleaning and making sure the lights are turned off at night. It’s a steady routine that keeps us going in the heart of Kandivali.
